Context
Context
GAIA and Avenir De La Vie were a series of two student led design exhibitions held at San Francisco State University's DesignSpace. Both exhibitions displayed the original works of SF State's industrial design students while the exhibition itself was designed and conceptualized by our team of primarily Visual Communications design students.
The overall theme of both exhibitions focused on environmentally sustainable design practices which also deeply influenced the materials we sourced and methods used throughout each stage of our design process.

My Role
My Role
My role as creative director and exhibition designer was to lead the conceptualization of both exhibition themes and brand identities while ensuring all design deliverables were visually cohesive and environmentally sustainable. I also actively contributed in the build and installation of the exhibition itself, while also taking the lead in communications between designers and stakeholders.

Avenir De La Vie was the first in the series of exhibitions, displaying furniture and equipment for educational spaces, inspired by the works of 2022 Pritzker Prize Winner, architect Diébédo Francis Kéré. GAIA, the second in the series displayed vertical gardens and green walls purposed for educational spaces. Both exhibitions utilized 100% locally and sustainably sourced materials.
