For my Senior capstone project at SF State, I wanted to take on a project that allowed me to further develop and explore one of my core values as a designer: inclusivity. For this project I aimed to design an experience that would allow designers at varying levels in their careers to ensure that the work they put out is inclusive. This culminated into a capstone project that included creating the brand identity and user experience for a web application that utilizes AI to scan your projects and flag accessibility errors.

Problem
Problem
Designers need help with making their work more accessible.
Why? - Accessibility concerns are one of the first things to get cut when resources or time become scarce. Since accessibility is not often prioritized, designers (especially new designers) are often in the dark about how to make their designs more inclusive.

For the final brand identity, I focused on a color palette that conveys trustworthiness and creativity, while the logo and brand elements emphasize inclusivity, accessibility, and a "human-first" approach. The app design reflects its educational purpose of helping users learn accessible design principles and apply them into their workflow.
From the user dashboard, you can upload and scan projects for accessibility, view past work, and share files with teammates. The Resource Library offers curated collections of credible accessibility resources, which can be saved for easy reference. After uploading a project, users receive an accessibility score based on set preferences, with error recognition for color contrast, typography, hierarchy, alt-text, and content. Pattern-coded categories also ensure usability for color-blind users.
